Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) has many indications in the evaluation of breast pathologies including high risk screening, local staging for patients diagnosed with breast cancer and assessing response to chemotherapy. Due to the inherent high sensitivity of this modality, MRI can result in further indeterminate findings within the breast and in order to ascertain their significance tissue diagnosis is required. MRI-guided biopsy is a time-consuming and complex intervention which can result in hesitancy in adopting the procedure into routine practice.
